I CAN LIVE GREEN Opening Day
The event was simple with little formality & protocols (only the opening & speeches were formal).
Guest of Honor plants the first tree. Many kids & participants get to plan trees as well. After tree planting was talk on EM.
The talk was suppose to be by Jon Su the expert, in the last minute he wanted me to do it. The audience was very interested banding their heads forward to see the slides & movie clip better. A lot of the adults came asking questions. They were very interested about EM (Effective Microbe) , whether it is usable at home (A:Yes) & the side effects of Mud Balls (A: None, they are just mud & natural bacterias).
The talk is followed by mud balls making session. St. Nicholas blind boys demonstrate to the public. Then the kids get to do it. They really enjoyed making mud balls & did a great job too. Many adults can't resist the fun & also join in making mud balls. Some people even took home.
St. Nicholas brought boxes of mud ball with them, all actually not fully covered with mold yet. But the children sooooo wanted to throw them that I had to let them do it. I ask every kids to bring as many as their hands can hold. They were really happy seeing the mud balls flying into the black river. Then one JCI member happily came with a whole box and the kids started throwing like mad. Watching adults started stretching their hands for the balls and trowing happily too. One box follow by many more boxes. Even the blind came to throw. Everyone had fun. I threw a few too : )
After mud balls throwing was drawing competition. The children had lots of fun drawing & colouring. After that they had to tell what they are trying to say in their drawing. I was fun for me & them too. Here are some photos that I have in my camera.
The interest of the residents to setup a recycle-collection system & food waste-collection system were high. YB Phee Boon Poh said he will get the MPPP to provide bins & man power to run the system that we intend to help setup. There will be a meeting with the residents on Thursday 8:30PM to take this further.
Everyone went home happy. : )

The Story of Jaja
The story of the missing of JaJa is now revealed!
- Family: Sciuridae
- Height: 25cm
- Weight: 200g
- Body: Dark brown
- Favorite Food: Nuts and seeds
- Favorite Pastime: Jumping from trees to trees
TAMAN JAJAR, a beautiful park located at Medan York, is the beautiful place of birth for JaJa. But years ago, the park has been losing it’s natural beauty. Dying trees and grass, tree stumps, polluted and smelly river, and termite hives are everywhere. Since then, poor tini winnie JaJa has been facing the risk of malnutrition and losing its lovely home.
Yes, that is why JaJa went missing!
This is the affect of our ignorance & negligence towards our own environment. Jaja is a warning sign of what will happen to us too if we don't take care of our environment.
However, this is not the end for Jaja & family! Here comes the beginning of a happy journey,
I CAN LIVE GREEN – The Reviving Taman Jajar Project.
What does this project do?
1. Take action to save Jaja, his family & their home (Taman Jajar),
2. Educate people How To LIVE GREEN,
3. Apply @ home it's easy, saves your money, healthy for the family and makes your house a cooling, healthy & harmonious home to live in.
Our will power is far mightier than a squirrel. Our conscience doesn't allow us to wait anymore to let little JaJa and his family suffer further. WE MUST RESCUE JAJA!!
I see no reasons you will refrain yourself from joining us! ;)
Little drops of water makes the mighty ocean.
Little actions we take daily can change the great world.
Let's work together to save our Mother Earth.
